Degradable ziplock bags are used for eyewear outer packaging. Their main raw materials are PLA and PBAT, with a proportion formula classified as Type Z degradable film.
The properties of the eco-friendly degradable film are as follows: it can be processed into various products through extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, and secondary molding, featuring excellent recyclability. Its combustion calorific value is 25.10 kJ/kg, half that of polyethylene, and it releases no harmful substances or smoke during combustion.
Type A eco-friendly degradable film (composed of 40%~60% PLA, starch, polyvinyl alcohol, and ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer) decomposes into 78% carbon dioxide after 313 days of landfilling in activated sludge. However, due to strong intermolecular cohesion, it cannot be fully biodegraded into carbon dioxide and water in a short period, requiring a relatively longer composting time.
Type Z eco-friendly degradable film (composed of 60%~80% PLA, starch, and modified cellulose) is processed with the addition of aliphatic polyester, which enhances its biodegradability—especially its compostability, which is significantly improved.
