Today's content sharing is about the precautions for using water-based ink when printing on degradable milk tea bags. Hurry up and take a detailed look with the editor from Sayru Technology!
I. The printing plate should be an electronic engraving plate or a laser plate, with a plate depth between 15μm ~ 20μm
This is mainly because water-based ink is produced using tap water, and the boiling point of water is slightly higher than that of solvents. A shallow plate can increase printing speed and avoid water ripples. If solvent-based ink is used for printing with a plate depth of 35μm ~ 40μm or more, water ripples will occur. Therefore, choosing a suitable printing plate is very important.
II. Good drying equipment
The drying temperature should be determined according to the type of substrate and the size of the printing area. For printing on biodegradable materials, the drying temperature is preferably around 60℃ ~ 80℃, and the wind force should be stronger than when using solvent-based ink for printing. In addition to temperature, strong wind is also required to enable the water-based ink to dry quickly after being transferred to the substrate.
III. Corona treatment: Degradable bags must undergo corona treatment before printing with water-based ink, so that the surface dyne value of the degradable bag reaches 40 ~ 42 or above. Water-based ink produced with water as the main solvent has a surface tension of about 72 dynes. A large gap between the tension of the water-based ink and the film will affect adhesion. Therefore, increasing the surface tension of the degradable bag can ensure better adhesion of the printed pattern.
