Methods to Identify Food-Grade Plastic Bags:

(1) Visual Inspection Method: Non-toxic plastic bags typically appear milky white or semi-transparent. They feel smooth and slippery to the touch, like having a waxy surface. In contrast, toxic plastic bags are usually yellowish in color and feel slightly sticky when touched.

(2) Sink Test Method: You can do this by pressing the plastic bag into water, waiting a moment, and then releasing it. If it sinks to the bottom, it's a toxic plastic bag; if it floats, it's safe.

(3) Burning Test Method: Safe plastic bags burn easily, producing a blue flame similar to candle wax with a paraffin scent and minimal smoke. Toxic plastic bags are difficult to ignite, with yellow flames; when burning and melting, they draw out threads and emit a hydrochloric acid-like irritating odor.

(4) Smell Test Method: Generally, safe plastic bags have no unusual odor. Conversely, bags with irritating or nauseating smells may be due to other additives or poor quality.
